Hi all, I have an issue with my Y reg passat tdi 130, when Im in 3,4,5th gear and going at low revs, then put my foot down, the car judders like mad, i have to take my foot of the pedal, once the speed builds up its ok, but at low revs its really bad.
The car has been tuned up, I took it to a garage, they said it could be the flywheel?, only thing is it doesnt do it as bad when the cars cold??

    can anyone help?

    cheers

we are talking say from 50 mph in 5th gear, if you put your foot down when the revs are low, it judders that bad i have to let go, when it builds up the judder goes away, ive heard this could be the dual mass flywheel

    any ideas?

    I would say clutch trouble.
The thing is when people uprate power they often forget about everything else.
A engine with more toque than designed for can put more stress on the clutch .
Rev's low down in fifth would give lot's of clutch busting toque...

maybe the clutch plate's are just low (on rivets)
