hi guys, i have a problem. Yesterday i was driving around, no problems at all, i went to change gear and suddenly my clutch pedal didnt return, it was jammed to the floor.
At first i thought it was a simple case of the clutch cable snapping, so i went and phoned the AA to get a tow home, they had a look at the cable and said it wasn't the cable, and that the arm that the cable connects to was offering no resistance at all.

Now, iv read that this could be a simpl fix, like just tightening up the arm, and iv also read that the gearbox might be a bit dead now.

I had no symptoms previous to this happening, everything seemed fine.

Any ideas would be welcome, also, if i had to remove the gearbox to change the clutch, how hard is it to remove the gearbox?

Might it not be a simple case of the clutch pedal snapping? I had a similar thing with a peugeot I had - Got a friend of mine to weld it back together a all was well.

unfortunately not the idea had sprung to mind, but we checked it out, its definately something to do with the arm thats connected to the end of the gearbox that that the clutch cable conncts too, its far too loose. now we need to work out if its the arm thats broke or if the clutch is dead
