    Just a bit of info for those that are interested. Just ordered a set of springs to lower my Golf GT TDi 130 by 45mm for £70 and a local mechanic will fit them on July 2nd for £60 cash. Will post some before and after pics when its done.

    I'll be interested to see the before and after pictures, should give me an idea about how low mine has been dropped. I got a set of coil-over springs and shock for my 130 GT TDI from ebay for £200 and had them put on, but have no idea how much my mate dropped the motor by when he put them on.

    Looks good mate, how much have you dropped it by? I've got 18"s on mine and they fill the much better. I'll post some pics of mine if I can find them.

    I've lowered it by 45mm just with springs. I think 18's would look much better its just that these 17's were a good deal 2nd hand with nearly new tyres. 18's will be next when pennies allow
