    Hello all

I did have this post in the VCDS section but thought i might put it here instead...

    I have genuine VCDS

    Mk5 2006 Golf 1.9 TDI

I removed the drivers door last week to be resprayed, i got it back this weekend and fitted it.

The central locking works as do the speakers and the window motor (only way i can open/close window is via the key fob) but nothing else works.

I cannot open/close any window from the 4 way switch, nor change wing mirror position nor open the fuel latch.

VCDS scan says everythink is groovy, I have no faults. I have taken the door card off and had a nosie around and everything looks fine.

Had a quick look in ElsaWin and the driver door switches all go to the drivers door controll unit via a 32 pin plug.
Did you disturb this ? could overspray or spray dust be insulating the pins ?
    Worth giving it a wiggle.
If you want diags send me a PM with an Email addy. Regards

The most likely reason - something was not plugged in as it was, but you might need to look at harness to the chassis connector for any damage.

Hi Richard - Ill PM u my email, thanks mate

HT - Ill take the door off tonight and have a good look at the electrics, its just weird as everything works via vagcom (output tests) and no faults are shown on a scan.

    Cheers

    Quick update for anyone interested;

I changed the door switch (4 way window one) on the drivers door, no difference.

I tool the boot off of the door to check the wiring from door to chassis, couldnt see any problems.

VCDS still not throwing up any error codes unless i physicaly disconnect the switchers that are not working?!

This is blowing my mind, I really cant think of anything else and i really dont wanna take the car to the dealer either!

    Any more suggestions/ideas?

Im sure the coding for the door is now correct
