hi. i assume this disables the internal sensor but i'm not sure yet.
the thing is i wanted to keep the windows open while keeping the car locked but after about half hour the alarm went off. i suppose that was because of vibrations created by the wind blowing inside the car. so then i pressed this button to disable the internal sensor but the alarm still kept going off. so i'm not sure if this button works or if it does anything at all.
the button is located on the drivers side on the pillar in between the doors under the seatbelt. if i press it the square red light comes on.
    thanks

Hi - it supposed to disable the ultrasonics inside the car, however I had a similar button on my old Passat SE and experienced the same problem when trying to leave the windows open a bit but lock and secure the car.

It never occured to me at the time but have you tried locking with the key rather than the remote? Sorry can't be much more help.
