    prooved good so far, got a new problem now though lol, i bought an audi for reliability not to cause problems!

    had the same problem on my 1.8t after 50K, only it completely blocked pick up screen, and done the shell bearings..

    Cause was wrong oil and a 10k service interval.

    Seems my indi was using 10:40 magnatec instead of 5:30.

    Had a choice after rebuild to stick with 10:40 or switch to 5:30.

    I decieded to stay on 10:40 as the engine had grown up with this. We had to wash the sump and rocker cover in a big washer and we still had to remove the burnt oil by hand later.

    Luckily I stopped the car when i did and just done the shells.

    Have 22k since rebuild and is better than it ever was, of course now with 6k oil changes

    The way to remove the gunk stuck to the ally sump and cam cover is with paint stripper, brush it on. Leave it ten mins, rinse it off and it is gone.
