    hi!

seems u need ngk platinum pfr6 (or equiv)

u've got to take the engine cover off...
then unplug & pull out the 4x ignition coils (which involves moving a bracket that sits over the 3rd n 4th ones )
then remove & put in new plugs.. (the manual says tighten to 30nm & the plugs say only 28nm)

then bolt it all back together, its a bit of a mission, but shouldnt take more than an hour working slowly n making sure to keep track of the bolts!

    hope that helps

I presume this is an AKL engine? They are evil little sods to get at. Number 1 and 4 are not too bad but 2 and 3 are a joke. I use a 3/8 inch drive ratchet with a long wobbly end extension bar onto another wobbly end adapter and a very slim Snap On 16-mm spark plug socket.

The VAG recommended plug is part number 101 000 033 AA and this is specifically an NGK only recommendation on the AKL and AEH engine. The VAG part number corresponds to an NGK BKUR6ET-10. I find these engines do not like anything other than this plug.
