What's the difference between The D1S and the D3S? I've been going through the forum and some people recommend the D3S and some the D1S for the Philips XenoEcoStart?

My right side light has gone off and I am going to replace myself as Audi are charging £100/hr just to check!

Can anyone please help and advise where I can buy these from and what I should be buying?

I cannot answer your question! But just as a tip, I would swap the bulbs over to see if the fault transfers so that you deffo know its a bulb and not the xenon control module.
They only takes 5 mins (or less!) to swap them and might save you wasting money on something that is not required.

    This might help https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...-Bulb-Changing

I have a spare set of headlights!! and the only reason that I have taken the pics like that, is that I no longer have the car that they were attatched too

You can do the job with the lights in-situ.

Even if you feel the need to remove the lights that is a ten minute job (but can scratch the lens/paintwork because its a bit tight and if you force them

Great advice from Bratty, thanks. I switched the bulbs and thankfully it is just the bulbs that have gone. It was a bit of a pain removing the screws without the correct tools and the cable was a bit fiddly, but all things considered it is quite an easy job even for a novice like me.

Now I just need to buy a D3S bulb.
