Its been a while since i posted, but still visit the forum most days.

As some of you will know from my earlier posts, my interests are mountain biking, hill walking and my caravan.

After buying the 3.0 quattro i was concerned at how i would carry our two mountain bikes, didn't want to carry them on top, or off the boot area, don,t think it does the quattro any justice, so thanks to this site, and PF JONES SITE SUPPORTER, i've got what i think is the perfect set-up, a detachable towbar, with a rear bumber cut you can only see if your changing the mid section of the exhaust pipe, really neat, not visable at eye level at all. and a westfailia lockable cycle carrier, this even locks to my towbar.

The towbar was fitted very professionally and at the given time by indespension of cardiff, who made tea for me and the wife, even offered to buy us icecream,.
They sat with us and explained how to install and re-move the towbar, their commitment to customer service was second to none.
It would also be fair to say that PF JONES also delivered on time with a forum member discount and again explained what my different options
    were.

Thankfully through this forum and the site supporters like PF JONES i've got an ideal set-up which looks quite cool on the car.

Just a word caution, i sometimes forget i'm pulling the van with a 3.0 l quatto tip, its so effortless, what an awsome car.

Thanks for that John. Although I went on a self catering holiday not towing anything I can understand what you say about the awesome power. I was loaded with a big Thule top box, two extremely heavy suitcases and boxes of food on the rear seat, wife in passenger seat (not very heavy) and a 52kg German Shepherd in boot of my 3.0TDI Avant. It travelled as if there was no weight at all and still maintained superb acceleration at all speeds and from standing start. This really is a most effective and surprising car in every way.
