looking to have my servicing done soon.
Saw audis website and they say major service is £250!!
that seems pretty good especially when most of the garages i've asked for quotes are saying £2560 and above.
I don't know what Audi actually do in the major service but should it not roughly be the same as all of the garages?
does anyone have any recent experience of having a major service
    with audi dealer?

I'm not surprised the Audi service at £250 is good if others are asking you for £2560 or above

This'll tell you what needs to be done at each service depending upon mileage:

    http://www.vaglinks.com/Docs/Audi/Ma...e_Schedule.pdf

Had my major service + MOT done last year at an indie and it cost 150 quid total. Got the plugs changed along with all filters, oil and a couple of brake pads as part of the MOT.

However, I think the Audi service pricing is reasonable and the Wimbledon dealers have always been good to me.

    haha lol
scratch my post i just called Audi west london and they quoted me £395 for a long life service!! and £250 for full service with £50 for pollen filter.

I'm on the phone to Audi now to see how deep they wanna shaft me!
    lol
Slough say £299, they guy kept syaing major service, i asked does that mean long life service and he wouldnt really confirm or deny so i'm not too sure myself.
he did say that included a brake fluid change as well.

also had a few quotes for indies in slough area.
    Autopool & A.V.I.T

Oh yeah, I forgot, mine also included brake fluid.

Re: the longlife, I don't think it matters if you take it to an Audi garage. They've always used longlife oil on mine regardless of whether it was on a fixed or longlife service schedule (but I always go for fixed now).

i know it seems a bit much for a pollen filter!
It's funny how the dealers all sound so enthusiastic and wanna kiss your ***
until they find out you have a 10 year old A4.
I guess it's cause they know you're not gonna be willing to spend the kind of money the usually charge.
oh well, not like anyone put a gun to my head and said i have to go there.
would be nice if they did become a bit more transparent and affordable.

£2650 ,are you sure you read that correctly and that maybe somebody mis printed your quote, it would be cheaper almost just to buy a new car instead of servicing at that rate,ha ,ha
