    How do you and how easy is it to change the petrol filter on a mk3 golf any special tools req.

    I've changed the fuel filter on both MKII & MKIII GTI's. Not sure which golf you have. The filters have a metal crimp ring that holds the pipe to the filters. You can get them off with a pair of pliers by squeezing the raised portion. When refitting I used jubilee clips instead. Take all the usual pre-cautions i.e doing it in a well ventilated area and no smoking. After fitting the new filters I turned the ignition on so the electric fuel pump would prime the filter a couple of times. Then started the car and leak cheched it.

    how does the unit come out taken the top off, err next step
    its a 1993 mk 111
