Hi all i know wheel refurb has been talked about but i can't find an answer to which is best to have the wheels powder coated or painted? ive had my motorbike wheels powder coated loads of times but which is best for the car? would powder coating be too brittle and chip with stones? is paint more fexible and would take a stone, or other way round looks like they had been done when i first bought the car because they looked like new but 2 year down the line they have flakes of paint coming off dont see why it would make a difference but it's for a audi A4 cab
    thanks

hi mate i work for a powder coating company in leicester we often refurb alloys and i would deffenatly say that powder coating is alot better than wet paint as the powder coating cures hard were as wet paint will just set and more than likely not last as long as powder coat.

hi i would go with paint, because if you no the paint code of the colour that you use you can always get it again if you catch a curb and 1 needs refurbing again.

    is that actually true?

I thought the idea behind prime, paint, lacquer and bake was to ensure a quality long lasting finish?

are you sure you're not biased towards PC simply because it's what you do for a living?
