my turbo has been cutting out and when i start my car its powerless untill its been running for a few minutes but even then its making an awful noise. i had a quote from my local vwaudi specialist and they said a new turbo and fitting with vat was about £800. where can a get a refurbished turbo from as its getting worse every day and i cant afford a brand new one.
hello to every one as well as this is my first of many posts. a

Hi , go on turboactive.com, i got one for my PD115 there aswell for 500 ish including VAT for a BRAND NEW turbo, they will require your old turbo after, but thats no use to you.
also they send it next day usually which is very good.

Get a custom made one by powerflow or somewhere. Then u at least get to choose wether it sounds like a raging subaru impreza or not. Chip and remap at the same time ud b surprised how diff th car sounds and pulls. Personally, id go n buy a 1.8turbo or something quicker.....the amount thats all gonna cost u, you could buy a faster golf

http://www.reconditionedturbo.com/volkswagengolf.html is one link I found.

Make sure it's the turbo that's at fault first though.

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.
