    Default heater blower wont work after airfilter change – 07-06-2010,04:36 PM
    hi ive got 2000 1.8 sport today i gave the car a service and after fitting the new air filter my heater wont work ive had the flashing lcd on the control unit for a while but the heater has still worked up till now does anyone know what this could be

    just to update took the car out tonight and went over a speed bump and the heater came on and worked fine for about 10mins then i turned it off and now it wont come back on i dont think its the bushes on the motor but what could be loose

    10 years 100K miles or so then it could be brushes. Best test is remove the pollen filter turn on the heater bloer and nutch the fan if it bursts into life then the brushes are suspect. Regards Peter

    hi you might be right the car has done 130k so it might be due a new one its been on today and worked fine all day if it goes ill buy a new one
