We dont tell anyone, of course its down to you if you tell the insurance because they could find the software if they really wanted to.

No not at all but of course you can take logs (boost for example) or even go so far as to read the contents of the ecu and have it checked.Quote:

My 1.8T is mapped and it goes like at rocket.
i have a normal 1.8 passat just as a run around but im liking the car so much im thinking about getting a 1.8t... i would definatly remap the car.

If it's the K03s Version then you'll be looking at about 210hp and 245lbft after the map. The K03 will be slightly under at 200hp MAX and 215lbft.

I have a 52 plate 1.8t and would really like to get it remapped. I'm a total novice, so is there a guide on here anywhere as to where I should start?
I'm in the Reading/Bracknell area, and don't really want to have to travel hundreds of miles!

When re-mapping any 1.8t change the DV there very week piont on the car. Also you will get better power and responce if you also run better fuel on a mapped car.. :D
