Do I have a missing sill trim protector?...and other rust and pinch weld issues...advice please? Thanks!
I have a 2006, 55 plate Audi A6 SE Avant
I've just had some bodywork completed by a restoration specialist to get rid of some corrosion at the front edge and top of the sills underneath the front wing on both sides. I guess that this has been caused by debris hitting this area as it seems to lack any protection.
Just over a week or so later I have noticed that the fresh paint has a chip - very small but it is rusting already. I've taken a picture and it seems that the lip of the leading edge is also starting to corrode, which is not good! You'll also notice on the picture that there is a small ridge line above the edge of the stone chip paint where the paint should be smooth, probably where some stone ship has been oversprayed.

I've noticed on other cars that this area is normally protected by trim to stop flying debris chipping the paint. Then I saw an Audi A6 C6 similar to mine which has some trim that covers this edge.
I know this is a big ask but if anyone has or can get a picture of the trim and post it in a reply, I'd be grateful so I know what I am talking about when I go to get this fixed.
When I was looking at this I also discovered that the pinch welds have been damaged, presumably by a trolley jack on one or more occasion which has broken the protective coating which has now peeled back and led to some corrosion on the sections damaged and on both sides. They look like this on both drivers and passenger sides:

Whilst here, I also noticed that there are fastenings missing from the front wheel arch spoiler on both sides, as shown. They have been like this for a while, so I have an opportunity to get them fixed:

...and also missing bolts that fasten underneath the front spoiler....

Ideally I'd like to take this back and get these issues sorted.
What i'd like to know is:
- If some one could upload a picture of the trim that should be there to protect the front edge of the sill, and let me know if there is a proper name (and part number if possible);
- Names and part numbers for the other fastenings if possible;
I'm planning to contact the bodyshop that did the work to get the paint chip sorted and the edge of the sill, but also, as additional work, sort out the damaged pinch welds that look like they have been there for a while. At the same time, i'd like them to fit the trim that's missing (hence why I'm asking for a picture and a name, if possible for the part number). For good measure, I'm also seriously considering fitting some mud flaps so that this area is well protected from stone chips. Some back flaps too will also hide some chips on the edge of the back bumper, which is not a major concern as the bumper is plastic.
If anyone can advise me if this is the right thing to do, please let me know. I know they may appear to be small issues, but getting it sorted is better than leaving it, and I must admit, I'm feeling anxious to resolve it.
I'd very much appreciate any replies.
Thanks.

Not sure how the front trimming looks on mine as the mud flap is covering it . I had major issues with stones and side seals to the point where Audi did a respray and fitted them in free for me

On my is also missing 2 or 3 clips / bolts, and I noticed that some have rectangular and some have circular heads. Can somebody tell me which one are for our car (my is restyling model 2011) ? If both kind of clips has to be mounted, which one is going on which position (inner, outer, middle) ?

The fixing are cheap on Ebay, some are too long this can be solved with a washer as spacer.

That is for sure, as I have asked my local dealer for these clips and they told me that price is about 5 Euro each and they do not have it and must be ordered (probably nobody is buying it)!

Now all I have to do before that is get the rust on the front lip of the driver' sill sorted and see what can be done about the jack-damaged pinch welds.
After cleaning the car I took pictures of the front of the sill to make sure that it was rust, not muck. It's definitely rust, looks like the edge was not covered properly during paint. The other side seems ok.

I'm wondering whether it's worth me relying on the bodyshop to sort that out or simply for me to have a go at it myself by rubbing the edge down, priming and using some touch up before having a go at fitting the mudflaps myself. That will mean having to move the wheel arch liner to get to the edge rubbing down to sound metal and brushing on some decent primer and using some touch up that I have. Finish is not that important as the mud flap will be covering this area.
I'm not sure what to do about the damaged pinch welds though. The fronts have definitely been damaged for a while as some rust has got hold but I reckon its the bent metal that makes it look worse.
I also looked at the back and there has also been some damage to them, although it looks like they have been sprayed with waxoyl or similar in time. On the passenger side there are little bubbles which are squishy to the touch, as shown on the picture.

This gives me an anxious feeling about what to do with them. Do I look in to getting them professionally done, only to have them damaged again at the next tyre change? Or do I simply work in some Waxoyl or Dynax UB into the damages areas with a brush and keep checking these areas once in a while. That still leaves me with a dilemma about what to do with the rear section that is bubbling. I don't fancy trying to take that stuff off with a wire brush, only to find out whether it was being ok in the first place. But then if I leave it, could this be something bad in due course?
All I want to do really is get these issues sorted and have some piece of mind, but the confidence (or put it the other way being very wary of making a complete bodge of it) is holding me back. Alternatively do I let the bodyshop I took it to sort it out?
In all they did a good job of the driver's side, but I'm not happy about the passenger side. The new door blade that was fitted and painted is nice though. To give them the benefit of the doubt I've put it down to mere oversight. I'll see what they say when I can actually get a time to go back this week.
If you have any thoughts, or experience I'd me more than happy to hear!

If I were you, I would do it by myself. It is not so big job to do. Also, I would check this part with bubbles, with screwdriver take off one bubble to see what is below.
From other side, when anybody is lifting the car, tell them to use jack with rubber or plastic protection and to place it on proper place for it (these plastics for car jack).

I think if you have to teach the garage how lift a car then you are in a WRONG PLACE!!!
