Heard similar thing on the Bi turbo hence went for the 272��.
It's all under warranty for the 3 years I'll be keeping it anyway. Have never had a problem with Audi warranty, most in part down to my local dealer.

I think a definition of "a lot" is required. I have only heard or researched 2 instances, so to be honest I wouldn't be panicking over it. Anyone got any positive feedback on my chosen model?
Well I will be positive, my wife has a 2014 s-line ultra S-tropic and she loves it. If only we pushed for a 3.0 Quattro, so in summary you've picked a cracking spec.
My mate has a 2012 SE 245 Quattro and he loves it, creamy engine.

I have a 272 Quattro black edition saloon arriving next week hopefully. It was build week 7 so should be here very shortly. Very much looking forward to replacing my current 5 series.
would have went for the bitdi however the 272 was pretty much the best I could get from our car list.
I've got build week 13, so hopefully might be a bit before end of May. I would be grateful if you post a picture when you collect.:D

The two I researched were on the Bi Turbo. Details were a bit sketchy and were sorted under warranty. Those who were affected where happy with the way Audi dealt with the problem and have had no further issues.

Will post pictures as soon as I get word at the dealer. As for gearbox problems I have not heard anything bad - nor do I care as its a company car . If it goes wrong in the 36 months I have the car the dealer can sort it and the leasing company pays ;)Quote:

Absolutely nothing wrong with this gearbox, lovely bit of kit. People really need to get their facts right. You will love your car, I know I do.

BiTDi has the ZF gearbox, the 218PS and 272PS engines have the S-tronic box.Quote:

Been given a provisional build week of week 13. Does anyone know when these dates are confirmed to the customer. Dealer not particularly forthcoming with anything more:confused:
I was told that the car was away to get built as you can't make any more changes. Usually 2 or 3 weeks after that is delivery although mine arrived and then I got a call asking when I would be collecting it! Up to that point communication had been great and the lady was quite surprised the car had arrived.
Week 13 is next week so your dealer should be able to tell you next week that it is being built. If it is built next week then their original estimate of an end may delivery seems pessimistic, you should see it soon after EasterQuote:

Ordered the car on 13th January (11 weeks ago) and I am still awaiting a build date. Dealer has said only a few 272 avant slots have been allocated. Has anyone else ordered a 272 avant and are awaiting a confirmed build date? The dealer has said the car is still sitting at code 10 on the system, does anyone out there know what this means?

and also thinking to get a black boot lid spoiler just maybe get 18" or even hid kit for the lights ..

The wait was well worth it, everything happended really quickly from build week w/c 11th May to collection on 28th May. The car is simply stunning!! If I can wokr the camera on my phone I'll get some pictures on here.

Tornado Grey could overtake Daytona as the defacto colour of choice - looks superb!
Unfortunately I fear that my decision to go down the Tornado Grey route has been partially responsible for the 14 week period from order to build date, despite the dealer modifying an existing order, and this is for a stock 2.0 SE Avant.Quote:
