hahhahaahaa. wait until it goes wrong, which it will if its a newer honda, or worse still if you happen to have got a type R something ???
well talking like that i would say you don't deserve to drive an audi, so good riddance to you.
i would say you'll be back, but i really hope not.
Another pleasing contribution right there, enjoy your jap while it is intact
not old enough to drive by the sounds of it .
This place makes me smile most days, and today has not let me down.
a customer had a civic type r. horrid little thing it was. she is only young but her cars are her life. it needed an alternator and an abs sensor. the sensor is unique to the type r and dealer only, 200 quid. the alternator is unique to the type r, but managed to get a blue print one, 300 quid. i think it took 5 hours to change the alternator. i made mrs z do it as there was no way i was doing the job. needless to say she has now got rid. guess what she's got now, yes, an absolutely gorgeous orange 58 plate S3. what a freeking awesome car. 365 bhp as well, forge brakes, oz wheels, mint.
any comeback then dsw ?
Came from an ep3 (that's a honda type r to you guys) to my s4 - to be fair is was a bombproof and solid car - shame most of the owners fall into the DSW category though, they all crave attention and ask for opinions on everything - when an opinion or idea is provided that conflicts with their predetermined one they go off the deep end
Seems pretty standard these days - shame really as the car was very good and dare I say one of my favourites that I have owned in 21 years of driving ;)
Had a Civic 1.6i-VT years back (the Type-R's Grandaddy!), fitted a JDM LSD and thrashed the nuts off it ofr 8 1/2 years. Best fun car I ever owned and absolutely bomb-proof.
Can't comment on the current crop of Hondas (they seem to have gone all 'Toyota' and dull), but back then you just couldn't break them.
the old civic vti with the b16 lump was awesome. 168bhp in a toy car. a friend was a honda salesman back then and had a few as company cars. it was the only car i have been truly terrified in. go round corners like its on rails.
Let's not even talk about the Renault 5 GT Turbo that lasted approximately 3 hours from the point I bought it back in the 90's
I am thinking it was lucky the turbo exploded so it didn't have time to kill me
Now who's swearing FSO Polonez , torture on wheels :biglaugh:
Another scary one was the (thankfully) not very rapid Skoda Rapid coupe. Then there was an Austin A35 van that my uncle installed a V6 3.0 Ford granada engine into. Shame he never upgraded the non servo drum brakes all round or the neigh on usless lever arm shockers. It almost lasted a year before ending up in the ditch, best place for it really:D
Yugo 55 with chewing gum brake discs or the worst thing I ever drove was a suzuki micro van absolute death trap every time you went round a corner above 4 mph it was on 2 wheels
Sounds like Mercedes might have copied Suzuki when they designed the old A class :biglaugh:
one thing about the jap cars, they rot. they are made from extra thin steel , hence why they come with 1/2 litre engines yet still go fast and get 100 mpg. if you want a car to feel solid and well built then an audi is the way to go. if you want one you can carry around and that may not be so good in a crash, a suzuki alto :)
