So where do you stand on grossly overpaid dicks that get paid for kicking around a bag of air?
No different to singers & actors - they have a talent that earns their employers/football clubs/movie producers/record labels lot of money. At least a lot of footballers & sportsmen do work for their communities for charity, like visiting hospitals & being patrons for charities. But even still - yes they're grossly overpaid. But I bet your average celebrity does more charity work than your average Politician - even if it is contractually obliged.
Man-le-mans, I quite agree mate. A lot of the Middle Eastern & Islamic African countries these killers claim to be from have 'an eye for an eye', so yes, they should be subjected to the same treatment that they brought on Lee Rigby. They choose to claim those countries as their homeland? Then let them be subject to the laws of their homeland. Of course it'll never happen as they'll claim human rights because Western ways suddenly suit them. - very convenient.

Why is there so much jealousy over what footballers get paid? What does that have to do with anything?
At least they are entertaining the public , if you want to look at grossly overpaid people, look at the bankers.
They don't entertain you or anyone, they merely dream up schemes that will pay them thousands and leave you with a pension that is not worth a penneth of urine

I'm not jealous, it just intrigues me how people who REALLY do something that moves the country suffer derision as fat cats if they get £100K a year but footballers can earn that a month and people who love the stupid sport don't have an issue with it, to me it’s hypocrisy.
I'd love to be a professional footballer and get paid hundreds of thousands a year for something I like doing. Beats looking at crappy boilers all day.
Only problem with that is I don't really like football ( rugby and boxing yes )
Recently boy wonder bought a new man utd shirt. I enjoyed telling him he has to work 37 years in his minimum wage job to earn what their players earn annually, not counting bonus's endorsements....
I do agree with Crasher & MLM to a degree. Footballers ARE grossly overpaid, but at least they do have a talent & when put together with a swuad of equally talented people, they bring success to their club & the club will earn far more from that success than they pay out in players wages. Fat cat bankers just get where they are because they are ruthless, career focussed & selfish. And I bet very gew get involved in their communities & do charity work. How did this thread get onto this topic anyway?
