I think their software is a bit buggy.
I saved the form as as a separate PDF, and sent it attached to an e-mail.
I took my car into LEEDS VW as arranged. Still could not obtain a firm positive answer.
Was contacted mid afternoon, stating that a fault had been found, and the car would be completed tomorrow.
Contacted again at 17:00, car now ready, all four injectors and the wiring loom replaced.
VW to cover all costs.

Isabard: I cant see anywhere that you have actually had an engine issue that has prompted you to this course of action. I ask this as I haven't had a problem yet & as this issue spoils the enjoyment of the car to some extent I may follow the action you have successfully taken. The only slight cloud is this £85 if your car doesn't have the faulty injectors fitted. What age is your car? I am surprised they couldnt tell from your VIN number what injectors were in your car, or perhaps they didnt want to. Does anyone like martin1810 or crasher know if there really is a new version of injector now available?

Make sure the form has actually been sent.
You must contact VOSA first, via the fault report form.
They contact VW cust services, who will contact you.
I suspect the main dealers know about this, but as there is no official recall they are a bit reluctant to provide a positive answer.
