It is the aluminium box unit with the black plastic electrical connector that causes the problem,it needs dismantling for proper cleaning.
All the information can be found in the old posts.
Read all associated problems before dismantling as it is complicated.
May be better to locate a known good unit for swap.
It may help to fill up aluminium body with cleaner and shake vigorously and use blow gun with compressed air to expel cleaner and swarf (not guaranteed to work)
Have a talk with diesel experts ,they may be able to help

Ok, i see.
Will a solvent like this clean things up,

or is a new pump or taking it apart the only solution?
