Re: Already want my S line back...
It seems the common reason for not getting an S-line and going with the SE is due to the firm suspension.
It's therefore surprising that so few go for what I believe is the best of both worlds i.e. an S-line with dynamic suspension. Perhaps it's the £600(odd) cost  however it gives a car that's multiple cars in one.
I guess as long as you make the choice you're happy with then it doesn't matter a jot. ;)

And I was always worried about that - having come from a B6 Sport, which was jarring. But I remember talking about it with forum members and being reassured that the B8 was improved. It is. I found that out. But now I know that I'd not want an SE (which I was thinking about 'cos of the ride quality experience I'd had with my B6) as in that short time I felt like I was on the moon. I didn't find it comfortable at all... I more felt... a little out of control.
I think that £600-odd set of buttons would be pressed very few times by me.
Re: Already want my S line back...
The B8 S-Line suspension is nowhere near as firm as many make it out to be - I have not driven a B7 so I can't compare it with previous Audis but I do not find it tiring on long journeys, no one has felt car sick on bumpy Irish roads and a passenger who spent a good 3 hours in the car on Monday remarked how comfortable the ride was!

Stand Firm SE diving Brothers!
I regularly drive from Kidderminster all the way back to sunny Northern Ireland via scotland n the SE does the best - Slines look well but at the end of the day its the same car just tarted up a bit! (Dont get me wrong - I wouldn't turn one down!!)

You're not wrong. My B6 S4 was ROCK solid. I'm not sure how I got away with convincing Mrs Scotty that it was a good family car to move to after the TT. :biglaugh:

Sorry, did not mean to get this thread into a SE is better than S-line debate it was just some people earlier were suggesting the se was not as good as it did not have some optional extras.
Big hug to all those who drive an se and an s-line
:D
Re: Already want my S line back...
I've just got rid of an 09 Scirocco GT and that had the three suspension settings which were great. I used the button a lot, especially over speed humps etc.
I had a B7 S-Line befor4 the Roc and it was very a very firm ride. In fact, my wife always moaned when we went out in it!!
I am waiting for an SE as a company car and am currently "livin the dream" in a 53 reg A4. The biggest bag of cack I've ever had the misfortune to drive! It feels totally out of control on the country roads, very un-nerving I can tell you!

Ow how to pee of all the SE owners then, well done first class effort 10 out of 10.
