1.6 TDI to 2.0 TDI Conversion?

I have had this twice on type 36 Passat’s after fitting a new BCM, the ABS pump coding becomes corrupted to left hand drive (right hand traffic), the car starts pulling to the left and the steering warning comes on or the ESP, I don’t remember which. For one I was able to recode it with ODIS after re flashing the software with a revised version as it refused to recode with VCDS. On the other, I had to fit a new ABS ECU and the customer was seriously ****** off with me as he couldn’t understand what had happened and considered it my fault, which I can understand if you know nothing about the subject. I also had a Polo 6R in from another garage in Derby which had the same problem after a new BCM was coded using a Snap Off scanner. ODIS could not recover it and in the end it was taken back to the VW dealer in Derby but I don’t know what happened.

Is your interface a genuine VCDS one? Do you have a scan from before you did the work?

My friendship with Uwe Ross prevents me from helping and without genuine VCDS you are in a bad place.
