With a LIN BUS controlled alternator like this, if the alternator losses comms with the battery monitor then it is supposed to default to 13.5 volts (from memory), are you measuring the voltage with a DMM or from live data?

I wonder if the voltage regulator under the seat is causing a problem, I have never seen one fail but it is worth disconnecting this and seeing if the voltage drops

Behind the glovebox for left hand drive, the system doesn't show me for RHD but I assume it is the same.

Ok so I found it as you said behind the glove box. When I unplug it I get no dash lights or anything but it started for a couple of seconds and then stopped and would not start again.
