This is the Xenon headlight:

It has:
- LED for the daytime running light
- D3S for the low beam & high beam (both from the projector)
- H7 for the all weather light (from the open reflector)
- PSY24W for the indicators (from the enclosed reflector)
Yes. Exactly this. All headlights with the circle in Audi A6 4G (C7) are gas discharge (ie Xenon). None of them have H7 behind that lens. The last A6 to have halogen headlights with projector lenses was the 4E (C5) and these cars went out of production in 2004. Both A6 4F (C6) and A6 4G (C7) have open reflectors for the halogen lights and all cars with lenses are Xenon headlights.
MF.

Hi. So there is no point for me to change headlights without washers as it is illegal and to expensive. Do you have any idea what bulbs should I buy to be legal and also have light brighter and stronger. I do not really want to go for HID kit as I am not 100% sure if it is legal and can be to much complicated.
Any advise would be good.
Thank you.
Night breakers.
Thank you. Could you please drop a link from eBay to how this bulb look like.
Thanks
Just type in Osram nightbreaker h7
Lots of fakes on eBay so you'd be better getting them from your local motor factor or buy from a recognised source/seller.
I have similar. I thought about something stronger. My headlights are worst then I had in passat b6.
Do you have any better idea.
If you do it properly it is perfectly legal. But yes it is expensive. You would need:
- Lights - AUDI A6 4G BI-XENON HEADLIGHTS 2012
- Washers - Headlight Washer Jets - Vw Audi - Supply Fit
- Levelling - Genuine Vw Audi auto-levelling - Supply Fit
For upgraded bulbs in your halogen lights, I would highly recommend Philips Xtreme Vision. I've used both them and Osram Nightbreaker in a couple of cars. Of the two I've found the Philips Xtreme Vision to be the best. Car Bulbs › Philips Xtreme Vision Car Bulbs | PowerBulbs
