I just need the setting that activates them the nanosecond before my wife chirps up to say she can't see anything.....That'll be because you've been focusing on something else then Dear...Me, I can see just fine and will persist in bating you now just to prove it...possibly until I'm getting slightly nervous about hitting something, or more likely being hit (again).
Horses for courses then. I think the auto wipers are great and very rarely need any intervention. Mind I have noticed my index finger getting fatter so maybe I should switch back to manual ;)Quote:

As for other technology, who doesn't like it :) Working abroad now, I have manual headlights, manual wipers and I miss the automatic options, but I still have a start button. As for the EPB, drove my wifes old A3 a while back and several times nearly drove off with the old lever in the up position. Once you get used to these features it's hard to go back, especially when they work and work so well.
I guess it's horses for courses, if you don't like technology that works, go back to a basic car that doesn't have them, rather than buy a car that does have them and then complain about them, seems odd. Many more satisfied drivers than not it appears. Guess YMMV,

Guess your's is faulty then Rickerby, so get it booked on to be looked at, as mine works perfectly well on this A6, and worked perfectly well on my 2008 A4 as well, oh and fine on the wife's A3 cab as well. No issues whatsoever and I don't believe I am alone.
