Is there any engine which doesn't carry that issue? If yes how can I find out which one I got?

2.7 and 3.0 doesn't have a problem ;)
All 2.0tdi have the same pump.

Is there any sign if the oil pump has already made a damage?
Can I do anything to prevent it to fail (something other than the 1.9TDI mod)

Nope, it's failed or not. It's around £600 to sort this issue. I think KMB parts direct can supply modified pump with 100mm hex shaft.
