Hi,
I have just had mine changed due to a large chip. The windscreen company bought me a replica screen first but I had asked for a genuine to be fitted.

My insurance company were happy to pay for the Audi windscreen with no extra cost to myself.

I just thought that I pay enough insurance so I want the real thing fitting.

Like in many industry sectors, the big companies buy the smaller ones (for the sake any anoraks who're ready to point their finger at the different brand names of the same manufacturers!). There are many, MANY, more. TBF, we're talking worldwide and not all will be featured in European/UK cars.
