Yeah i agree with Mark on that one. Some discs will last 30,000 miles while others will last 100K +. Type of discs, driving style and whether its motorway or town driving are the biggest factors. If the brakes aren't feeling right and its noticeably different to when they're new then id suggest changing them. There's no set mileage as such. Hope that helps
cheers for the video mate. Hadn't seen that video before. Only found out from Audi yesterday that you dont actually need to rotate the piston while applying pressure to retract it. The A6 (my model anyway) can just have the rear pistons pushed straight back.

A lot of dealers wouldn't give that sort of information out. When it comes to retracting the piston, I just use a small bit of wood over the piston and then wind it back with a g-clamp
