Is that using one of their more recent "sharer" tariffs or another way? I too have truly unlimited (legacy - no cap or throttle) O2 on 3G, but need an rSAP phone to get the full benefit. Hence I swap SIMS (a variety) when the kids are travelling on long journeys. Otherwise my 200 MB Freedom Pop SIM covers my normal data needs for the princely sum of £0.00. Thanks again to whoever enlightened me.

I have a separate SIM. I have an iPhone, so no rSAP. Your 200mb would be ample.
Re: Best Value Data Sims for Internet Access: Ideas anyone?
I've had a look on O2's website and can only find a shared data SIM for £7.50 upwards, but that needs the correct tariff on the master SIM to enable it to use that SIM's data allowance. For that price I have a T-Mobile SIM with 2GB - but with an unlimited cap of £3 per day. Since my home broadband is by satellite, the SIM is normally used in a tablet as for hotspotting if the satellite gets iffy and I also get a rare blip of 3G. The Freedom Pop free deal is handy, but there's also some anxiety about breaching the 200MB limit accidentally as the MMI doesn't have a limiter.
Your O2 facility may be on a business deal not available to Joe Public, but if you've got any more details I'd be grateful as £4 isn't much to pay for not having to juggle SIMs.

That's a cracking deal. I thought the £56 deal was cracking too .... which is why I bought one last week ..... DOH!
Re: Best Value Data Sims for Internet Access: Ideas anyone?
Someone mentioned freedom pop earlier in this thread.
Had mine a month now other than the £7 delivery fee it's totally free for life. 200mb is more than enough for the sat nav traffic. In a month it's used about 20-30mb and mine is always on for my 60 mile commute each way.
Uses three network so signal is great around here.
Re: Best Value Data Sims for Internet Access: Ideas anyone?
Delight Mobile. Same 3-2-1 rates as Three i.e. 1p per MB but over EE network so can also work on 2G in remote areas. Shouldn't have "device is not a phone" issue like Three and bundle options plus voice if needed. Some giffgaff low data users are moving to Delight, a sister MVNO to Vectone so same APN and it's been going a few years.
I've been using Freedom Pop, but will be using Delight in another "vehicle" that can't use 3G, or on trips when FP's 200MB might be a bit tight and/or better coverage required.

They treat the SIM as if it's in the UK in a lot of countries, ie,no roaming charges. Best to check website for exactly which are now, but I've used in Egypt, US, Austria Italy.
