Boring would be if we all wanted, and bought the same thing..... :)

Each to their own Hippogriff! I think the SE is fine and can be upgraded where it really counts. I have a young family and wouldn't want them to endure a rock-hard S-Line ride, which I had the displeasure of in a A6 "loaner" last year!
Good luck for the fix, but watch out for those pot holes...and rattles! (Are you sure they are not linked)? ;););)
Positive. The door never rattled until Audi fixed the whistle. Then it never buzzed until they fixed the rattle. Now it buzzes. But they just phoned me and told me they've put some insulation in and want me to go on a road test. The worrying thing is sometimes it really is intermittent... sometimes it's elusive - but, mostly, it's like a mini-enthusiastic-drummer in my right ear.
If I go on a road test today and hear nothing, then start to hear it later, it will be embarrassing of course. Thing was - a different Audi. tech did the repair, not the one who road tested it previously and agreed he "could hear something".
I have high hopes. Have put less than 4 miles on this SE. Just didn't fancy going anywhere.
Hippo, If I sat with you in an interwiew and the whole time I tapped a pencil on the table would that annoy you to the point of distraction?
Dunk
Yeah, I'm with you on this one - I also chose the SE because I've had it with cars that have stiff suspension - there are just too many pot holes and speed bumps around now to make driving them enjoyable so I went for the comfortable option.
The sports seats and steering wheel don't bother me although I do like the S Line lights. The SE spec was definitely a better match for my requirements.
Incidentally, I do think there is link between stiff suspension and rattles.
Yes, agree fully with Thescouselander. SE gives best of all worlds. If you like putting your foot down on winding B roads, and where I live in North Yorkshire we have some of the best there are, then an SE will,in my opinion, be just as quick as an S Line without all the jerks and bangs....
Hippogriff,
each to their own, I personally don't see the attraction with the S line, better ride and no probs with the spec on the SE and far far more comfortable.
Never had any problems like you have with your S line so perhaps better build quality on the SE as well ??;)
Perhaps you need to do more then 4 miles to get the true feel of the car
Stick with it:D:D
Well, I've not had problems; I had one whistling window and Audi caused the rest.
Anyway, thankfully it's gone back now... I really didn't like it.
