engine juddering?
i have a golf gt tdi 01 115pd engine and i have the same problem has the tinman! i've also had it checked out on vagcom and no faults came up, but then took it to a vw mechanic and he also thinks its the fly wheel.
im going to another vw specialist on tuesday to see what he thinks then i'll let you know

will be interested to find out what the second opinion is, another garage dos'nt seem to think it is the flywheel so i realy dont know. just come back in with another problem , could it be related.
ckeck out - it just went POP, i've just posted it

forgot to mention, i was told by the vw mechanic that if it was the flywheel it would have the judder on stand still when the car is just ticking over but i dont?
-
has anyone checked the wireing on the engine
-
my golf tdi started to do this but progressed to drop a injector if this happens then can give you a few pointers but i recomend you take the top off the engine and make shure that all the wires are pushed on to all of the injectors
-
just had my car checked and i have been told that its not the flywheel becuase then it would be a continuous problem (engine judder) he thinks the cause is the engine mount or gearbox mount. And the loss of power is down to a mass air meter on its way out. Any more news i will keep you updated..

ok cheer's for that, still no wiser

Hi If it only does it when its under load it could be the clutch slipping ,this will make it judder as it struggles to keep hold.

after replacing the hose whitch started poping out (see photo) when the engine was reved over 2000rpm. the juddering between 2 & 3000rpm that i was getting is now juddering between 2 & 2500rpm. not convinced that it has anything to do with the clutch/flywheel, what about the air mas mtr??

Hello again, havn`t been online for a bit that there is one of your boost hoses, you would have had no power when this came off, does it only judder when you really boot it in the high gears and lowish revs? If you ease off a little does it rev through the full range without the judder?does it keep accelerating even when it does judder? if yes to all of these i`d say clutch, any opinions? good luck anyway hope you get it fixed. :) Oh and by the way mate is it chipped?
