i made the square once......
stress as in if you were to floor ya car round a bend the stress of the tire is in % pending on the depth of the wall not the height the depth....... go back to school son................or go ask your local tyre sales..........:biglaugh:
Curious about what symonc1 had written I measured some tyres I had in the garage then worked out what the profile percentage would be
A 235/40/18 works out a percentage measurement of 94mm but the side wall measured 40mm
A 255/45.18 works out a percentage measurement of 114.75mm but the side wall measured 45mm
Which means my belief for all this time that the profole was a percentage was wrong.......:Blush2:
never mind tho but the flat plane of the tire i still think you maybe measuring wrong.......... the only way to measure the flat plane is to get a bold tire completly bold and inflat to factoy pressure and the measure it it will come out completly different......:biglaugh:
