Brake pedal weirdness - Unwelcome ABS?

So would I need to get a cable and VAGCOM and plug 'er in to do this then?

Is it quite a simple process?

If so - would someone be able to link me to a reasonably priced cable that would allow me to talk to my car? I'm only looking to spend about £25 really - I understand different cables give different degrees of functionality?

Yes you can do this with VAG-COM but over about 20 mph it drops out but you don’t need it to work that fast. Unfortunately the shareware has limited functionality in Measuring Blocks 08 and I have no idea if a generic cable and the shareware will work as I have never used it.

You should check the abs sensor on the side the work was done on it just pushes in to the hub and the tip of it is magnetic which reads a metal point on the wheel as it spins so it can pick up iron dust causing it to malfunction just pull it out and clean it and push it back in that worked for me before.
