just to say a big thanks to a8 tech for the sound help and advice that was greatly appreciated fitted a cam chain and tensioner and the car sounds like a fsi petrol now(still a rather noisey unit for a modern engine) instead of a diesel
now just gotta sort the multiple codes the cars thrown since dismantling to fit the chain and tensioner:aargh4:
