You might be better off to flush the engine and reverse flush the rad
Got it booked in to garage next week for radiator and engine flush. See how we go from there. I have never had a car with such high mileage so I am hoping it can keep going. Already really appreciating the car.

For £650 I reckon I have got a decent car - looks like the previous owner neglected it a little which is a shame as the original owner has documented everything up until 158,000 miles. I even have original receipt for it!
321,000 actually. at 305 i rebuilt the engine and found no wear at all. the bores had the honing marks still and no lip, just glazed to budgery. a bit of glaze busting and new rings and shells and new tappets made it as good as it already was.
Amazing. Must have been well looked after.
I don't know about the UK but in Ireland the Audi 80 is getting expensive. You wouldn't get much for under 2k
really, you can have mine for 2.5k, i will even deliver it to rosslare.
