Never had much of a problem with mine - occasionally they need a bit of manual intervention, but it is rare
Same as the fat controller for me, first had them 8 cars ago on a Laguna and they have got better with each car, I wouldn't want a car without them now.
I never found it difficult to;
1. Change gear, but I still want an auto.
2. Turn my lights on, but I still set them to auto.
3. To put a key in the ignition or door and turn it, but I still want keyless entry and start so I can leave my keys in my pocket.
4. To read a map, but I still want sat nav.
The list could go on and on. I don't want them because I can't work out when it's raining. It's another convenience feature in a luxury car. I liked my 1986 VW Golf 20 years ago with none of these features, but I don't yearn for them to disappear.
It seems one or two don't like them, but a few do. I have the patience to wait a few seconds when they aren't perfect and very very rarely have to intervene. I would not be without them and I did miss them when I didn't have them. I suggest you just turn them off.
