Re: How do you play & store your music in a mk 7 Golf?
An Arab Sheik was admitted to a London hospital for heart surgery, but prior to the surgery, the doctors needed to store his blood-type in case the need arose.
As the gentleman had a rare type of blood, it couldn't be found locally, so, the call went out.
Finally a Scotsman was located who had a similar blood type. The Scot willingly donated his blood for the Arab.
After the surgery, the Arab sent the Scotsman as appreciation for giving his blood, a new BMW, diamonds & thousands of US dollars.
A couple of days later, once again, the Arab had to go through a corrective surgery.
His doctor telephoned the Scotsman who was more than happy to donate his blood again.
After the second surgery, the Arab sent the Scotsman a thank-you card and a box of Quality Street chocolates.
The Scotsman was shocked that the Arab did not reciprocate his kind gesture as he had anticipated.
He phoned the Arab and asked him: "I thought you would be generous again, that you would give me a BMW, diamonds & money, but you only gave me a thank-you card and a box of Quality Street ."
To this the Arab replied: "Aye laddie, but I now have Scottish blood in ma veins".

The joke went with the bagpipes.

Mrs a is using a 4GB SD card until I can get her something bigger. It's in the SD2 slot as the Nav system card occupies SD1 . It's got over 30 albums on it at a decent bit rate even so plus I've put a folder on it with all of the radio station logos so as she tunes in new stations she can set the logo up on the corresponding pre-set button. As long as the tags are set right on the tracks album art and track info is displayed.

32gb SD Card in the glove box.
On that card, I currently have 7 different audio books, 6 classic episodes of "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue", 42 podcasts of "The Infinite Monkey Cage", a couple of other random audio book type recordings (Stephen Fry's "Current Puns" from Radio 4), oh yes, and a music folder with 3,576 tunes on it.
I've got my music organised by artist (and one folder called "Drivetime" featuring my favourite music). That way, I can choose an artist and then either play everything by that artist, or navigate down another level and just play songs on a specific album. Alternatively, I can just go the the "music" folder, stick it on shuffle and get a random selection of music from all of my favourite artists every time I'm in the car.

I use a 120gb ipod for podcasts and about 19,000 songs, other than a portable hard disc I don't think there are many options open to me. It's been many years since I used a CD it may as well have a cassette player in the glove box.
Happy new year ;)

64GB SD card. Does the job.
I update it every couple of months to my latest music collection. Anything brand new goes on the iPhone, until it reaches the SD card.
