No personally I don't get fine scratches use sheepskin mitt and two buckets none of my cars had/have swirls (use towels placed over body work to soak...no rubbing), this car protected by GardX which was applied by dealer and surprisingly enough is quite good. Used to use and still do now and again Aqua Gleam 0ppm De-ionising Water Filter not so much now as not Black but Dakota Grey.
