6XE/6XK I'm not too fussed about. It's just 6XE came with the tech pack advance. Also it's a little late to change the order now as I believe the car is built or at leasy in transit!

TBH I plan to keep the car 5+ years (like my current A4) so options I will use have a lot more value than resale considerations.

In my previous car some of the options I had were - blind side indicator - flashed a LED light in the side mirror if a car was in the blind spot - interesting - but soon stopped noticing the LED light; Heated and cooled seats - I must have used the cooling seats maybe twice in the four years I had the car....
So when I ordered my Audi - I was careful to order options I knew I would use..... I think the only options I omitted, that I now regret is the 75l tank...that was an oversight on my part....
I don't absolutely agree with the idea that options are worth nothing at resale time, though I'll admit they retain a much smaller percentage of thier original cost.
Looking at it from the other side (so to speak), if I was looking at two cars, make, model, mileage and condition identical, but one car had a good number of options, I'm pretty sure I'd be willing to pay extra for it.
The question is, how much extra?
I guess it depends on whether the options were ones I would have ordered myself (say heated leather, xenons, upgraded dash display, privacy glass, etc.) or ones that I wouldn't have bothered with (in particular the fancy coloured leather options and seat belts, etc.).
If nothing else, a higher spec. car will nearly always be easier to shift and you'll have less of a need to discount it to get rid.
But choose the colour carefully, since the demise of Thunderbirds pink cars are a no-no ;)

Car arrived today. 100% happy.
I was a little concerned after seeing Scotty's thread about being fobbed off with a 2013 model - no worries here - all DAB'd up.
Also the dealer was waiting with red AMI lead in hand as well.
After a thorough walk through, off on my way. Had a 200 mile drive to start off with which was also used to try out some of the toys.
Was getting dark when I got home so no pics as yet.

Sounds like a belting car. Glad you got the 2014 spec. I think I just had a bad experience first time round, dealing with Leeds Audi I had a great guy (thanks for putting up with me Eddie !) who had over 20 years experience and he knew what he was taliking about, told it as it was (by then I was down to UK stock to pick from) and couldn't have been more helpful, he even did me a great deal. Although nothing like your technological terror I am delighted with what I've got on the way, just wish it was arriving sooner than the end of next week. Never mind:aargh4:

viewing my S Line ahead of delivery in a couple of weeks, I ws struck by the height of the front bodywork - looks fantastic and as your picture reminded me, while kerbing the alloys is a worry, is kerbing the front skirt an issue too? Will need to get used to it I guess when parking nose first.
Looks lovely by the way, really looks a treat. Enjoy. Looking forward to mine.
