Re: Adaptive air suspension
Very easy job... my old P/N is on second image 4F0 919 283 ... it would not accept code change...
I only have rear parking and was not going to do retrofit of front... so got 4F0 919 283 F off ebay for £30 inc delivery...
Load rail is only two bolts... then I only removed trim on right hand side partially not fully...
Fitting and recoding was less then 15 min job IIRC ...
Re: Adaptive air suspension
Jaysuss that's some retro fit :) so glad I got all that as standard :) do you think you were lucky with that buy on eBay for the parking module?

If you mean the parking module everything was there I just swapped module and coded it...
If you mean DAB it looks a bigger job than it is TBH plus there is so much info on the A6 4F out there...
I just followed what others had done and just thought create a "how to" rather then piece info from several places/threads...

Re: Adaptive air suspension
Hey
Surprised you didn't go for the reverse camera to just to finish the job :) I went to the <YOU WENT WHERE?!> to see about updating my mmi they couldn't even tell me what the latest version was. But I know I'm on 42.2.0. I'm sure I've read it's upto something like 55.0.0. Kind of hoping this might change the was the sat nav works. This 4 digit postcode search is a pain in the back side. Surely they could of done a 7 digit search even back in 2007?
Re: Adaptive air suspension
Your MMI version will depend on which MMI is fitted.
Basic/+ with the red screen above the centre airvents
Or
High with the colour screen above the centre airvents - current and last FW 5570.
No chance of the postcode being updated as 2G is now obsolete.

Sorry Chris but they will always been know as the <removed>And that's just my personal dealings with them. They can produce a faulty part. Then call it a goodwill gesture for them to fix it. That's if they feel you paid for it already by using there over priced services!
anyway back to my mmi. It the high version. And I guess all what I've said above applies to the mmi. It's only obsolete cos Audi can't be <removed>anymore. Old customers don't matter only the new ones!

Just don't use it on here and watch your language too as we're a family forum :)
It's obsolete because the system was coming up to 8 years old and needed replacement. If you ebay search "MMI firmware" you will find the update discs for <£20.

We are going way off topic from your title :) ... perhaps you can think of a new title and mods could change for you :) ...
My dads car/courtesy ones has/had cameras I did not like it, the sonar lines IMO work better for me & wifey...
Re: Adaptive air suspension
Okay Chris! I can see its a bit of a touchy subject here! I've just read the article you posted and tbh it's quite laughable really.
