Re: Audi A6 2013 Black Edition - Finance deal/Haggle tips
I have just placed an order through Drive the Deal for a new A4 Avant 3.0TDI Quattro S-tronic Black Ed.
I currently have the same car but in 2.0TFSI Quattro which I got through a local-ish dealer 2 years ago for a price that I was very happy with. The quote from DtD was £25/month cheaper for the new car than I'm currently paying despite the better spec (including alcantara, sports diff, drive select). This was a tad shy of £8k discount, about 18-19%.
DtD don't take the deposit, they take your credit card details to pass onto the dealer to take your deposit, if you cancel order they do charge an admin fee (quotes are free of charge)Total discount I had from DtD was about £1k cheaper than OW and £2k cheaper than Broadspeed.
None of the dealers within 75 mile from me could/would get anywhere near the DtD quote (about £40/month differnce over 4 years).
All in all I am very happy with the service from DtD, I will reserve full judgement until I have the keys in my hand, but if all goes to plan I will certainly recommend them and use them again.
Much as I would love to give my money to a local dealer, and deal face to face, I certainly couldn't turn down a £40/month difference.
All the best with your haggling
Re: Audi A6 2013 Black Edition - Finance deal/Haggle tips
Alright guys so I'm nearly there. Thanks for the advice Essex86 and boom1.
I'm negotiating with a local dealer managed to get the monthly payment down to £295 p/m over 3 years but I was hoping to get it lower then that considering I'm putting in a px valued at £8k. All in all I'm getting around 20% discount off the list price including both contributions from the dealer and audi finance.
I'm trying for one last push hopefully I can get some kind of result when I go into the dealer n get it lower.
fingers crossed il be the owner of a new Audi A6 black edition in Phantom black fairly soon!!!
Re: Audi A6 2013 Black Edition - Finance deal/Haggle tips
Make sure the dealer is keeping the residual payment unchanged in his offers as it would not be unknown for them to appear to offer a higher discount and reduce the payments only to sting you with a higher residual
Re: Audi A6 2013 Black Edition - Finance deal/Haggle tips
Hi John, thanks the residual value (GMFV) I have been given is by the dealer is £14800. I've had a look on various sites currently and an A6 (C6 mind you) with similar spec and millage are going for around - £18 to £20k. If that is a fair reflection then hopefully il have some equity in the car at the end of the 3 years if I don't pay it off before hand.
Re: Audi A6 2013 Black Edition - Finance deal/Haggle tips
Hi Guys,
Its been a while so thought i would share the news i finally ordered the A6 2.0 TDI Multi Black Edition mid April dealer reckons deliver will be some time mid June but going by some of the threads on here delievery is taking an absolute age so im abit skeptical about the mid june collection date.
But any how not long to go if it is...i managed to get a little bit more of the price in total around 24% off the list price including the contributions etc. So im pretty happy.
Opted to go for it in Phatom Black with some decent options nothing too wow... heated seat front and rear, electric folding wing mirrors, colour DIS, Parking system advance with camera, lighting pack and Debadged.
The only rubbish side is that i forgot to include the storage pack and by the time i informed the dealer of this it was too late to change the order...so as a result if im correct in saying there will be no rear cup holders!!!! https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/i...cons/icon8.png I initially thought these were standard in the car. It was only afterwards i found out that they are not. The dealer didnt mention anything to me at the time either in fact he was pretty shocked that they werent standard. So bit of a let down in that respect.
I did enquire to see if i can get this retrofitted but the cost was rediculous at £500+ so i guess i will have to do without and see how i get on.
I was also tempted to get a sunroof and All LED headlights but i couldnt justify the extra £2K+ in what it adds to the cost.
Other than that i chuffed to bits cant wait to get it! Ive been looking at the other posts and the pics of the A6 black editions look amazing!
Re: Audi A6 2013 Black Edition - Finance deal/Haggle tips
Just to say that car sounds remarkably like the one I just ordered yesterday. Saloon 2.0 Multi Black Ed in Ibis white, with colour DIS, parking advanced w/camera, heated front seats, 75 litre tank, folding mirrors, debadged. Now wondering if I should have included lighting pack and storage, but think all in all it's a pretty good spec so will probably leave it be. Just got to sit back and wait now....
Re: Audi A6 2013 Black Edition - Finance deal/Haggle tips
I would definietly recommend the storage pack, as the cup holder in the rear would most certainly come in handy especially with kids. The car does come with door pockets which can fit bottled drinks but for the adults sitting in the rear there is no place for them to rest their cups (coffee/tea). The storage pack does give you an extra 12v point in the rear as well. but to be honest its the rear cup holders that are most practical thing and considering its an extra £105 option (compared to the £500+ i was quoted for getting them retrofitted). I would have opted for it in the begining if i had known they werent standard.
But as you said it is a pretty good practical spec cant wait for delievery.
