If memory serves the ecu on those is under the carpet on the front passenger side.....
I have searched the whole car and there is no sign
of the ecu... The engine wiring loom passes through the
fire wall on the drivers side and goes to a series of relays and
fuses but no sign of an ecu.
You don't have a TDi, you don't have an ECU. Check the fuel cut off solenoid on the pump, just crack a pipe on an injector and turn it over
That makes sense
I cracked one of the lines but there is no fuel coming through
I checked the 2 wires going onto the solenoid and both wires have 12 volts going through them
Are both supposed to have power?
Is the solenoid clicking?
Its not clicking
change it, if you have a good clutch take the plunger out see if it starts, you'll have to stall it in gear to stop the engine
i dont understand how there could be a problem with the solenoid as the car was starting and driving before i changed the ignition and transponder
I don't understand loads of things however I know these engines quite well, no electronics, nothing to prevent it from starting except broken timing belt or duff solenoid. What age is the car?
