What year and engine is the car?
Hi Pat, its a June 2007 Golf GT 2.0 TDI 170 DSG, have owned from new and has always been serviced with main dealer.
I dropped my car in last night for its service and shortly afterwards I got call back back from VW Customer Services (after starting a case on Thursday last week) saying that they will speak to the dealer in the morning.
Well just got the call from the dealer saying that VW are replacing x4 injectors and wiring loom Free of Charge, downside dealer is out of stock and tring to get hold of the parts.

Hi,
My first post so please be gentle. I have an 06 Passat 2.0tdi, 31,000 miles with no previous injector issues(BKP engine). Ive followed the advice on the forum by e-mailing VOSA a form about a week ago. Haven't heard anything so tried ringing VW customer services and spoke to a lady who told me to 'speak to a dealer about my concerns'. Told me she wasn't a technician and couldn't tell me that there are many Passats on the road and that she wasn't sure about any batches of Faulty Injectors. Not good enough!
Advice from anyone who overcame people like the Lady at VW and about my next move i would greatly appreciate. Vosa, dealer or start shouting at VW :-)
Many thanks in advance and to all the people who've pushed VW to admit the problem
Sorry about the sentence in my last thread. She told me how many Passats are on the road and how could she possibly know whether my car would have an Injector issue!
Hi,
I had this on the first call with a lady at VW saying as there was no fault there was nothing they could do despite my concerns over safety, but I got her to log my call and give me a reference number. A little while latter I phoned back and the person "Lyn" who picked up the phone knew a lot more about the issue, she in turn referred the case to the case manager dealing with my issue "Dave". A couple of days later Dave called me back (last night) checked a few details with me about my car and said there and then that the injectors would most liklely be replaced FOC but they need the dealer just to confirm what injectors were fitted to the car, when I expalined that the the car was at the dealer for its service, he said that he would get straight onto the dealer that was 5.30pm last night by 2pm today they have agreed to replace the injectors.
I can not fault VW on this one and it had been mentioned in passing that the first person I spoke to at VW should not of been so quick as to dismiss me, so I think it is a case of pot luck who you speak to, if you are not happy with the responce call back in a bit later.
Hi guys,
Just called VW, got a case number and a promised called back. 56 plate 2.0 tdi 140 BKP - no faults with injectors to date (other than slight hesitation now and then), expressed my concerns over safety. The chap i spoke to denied all knowledge of a fault but said he would pass my case on to the technical department.
Fingers crossed I'll get them replaced. will update ...
Any help with post no 168?
My VW diagnostic bill is literally going up at £80+VAT per hour! Thanks Phil.
Mine has now been done
To summerise: my 2.0 tdi 140bhp, with NO previous injector issues has just had all 4 and wiring loom replaced FOC
Picking her up in the morning. Can't be @rsed battling through rush hour traffic to collect her tonight
I tried the customer services route today and was fobbed off by a very nice lady with the "if it ain't broke, we won't fix it . Contact your dealer " excuse . Phoned my local dealer to book the car in for a service and spoke to the service manager who said "issue with injectors , what issue" . He then went on to tell me that vw would never replace any injectors unless they were actually failed and that I had wasted my time contacting customer services as they had no technical know how and certainly couldn't authorize new injectors to be fitted . As you can imagine I'm not overly happy , do you think customer services are worth another go or should i try vosa ?
