Oh no, I don't think you'll like that. I could help you and take it off your hands though. :biglaugh:
let us know how you get on with the springs later. Can't wait to see the drop.

Eibach pro springs fitted with original oem shocks and the ride is great.
Feels stiffer and more responsive and I'm well happy with the 40mm drop.

Hi there, I have owned my 2001 plate A4 1.9TDi now for the past 8 weeks. Traded my Smart Roadster for it as I needed a more practical car. Loving the torque and the sooooooooooooooooooo much better fuel economy.
Hi
Just want to say hello recently bought a (53 plate) S4 :D
Road tested and springs bedded in so its dropped a little bit more, I need to check the 4 wheel alignment and change the camber/toe for S line suspension settings but it handles very smooth with reduced damping as expected but I think I will leave the standard shocks fitted.
Tried the springs over some speed bumps and its fine although I nearly bit my tongue.lol
The eibach springs fit very well on the front shocks unlike my old mark 4 gti which had to much travel between the shocker top mount and the spring these seem spot on and needed only light pressure to compress the springs for the top mount assembly.
Eibach pro kit can be used with the oem shocks and as I have lowered for looks more than handling and I don't drive aggressively I think all will be fine and if not then I will replace the shocks.
So if you have the standard suspension then this kit is fine as My A4 tdi quattro started life with standard shocks and springs and horrid 16 inch wheels then 17 inch sport and current S line/rs6 style wheels.
OK, can someone clear this up for me.
I've seen alot of suspension parts for sale on ebay that say they are for A4 or A6, do they use the same springs and shocks?
If you put A6 springs on an A4 would it sit higher or be fine?
I always assumed the A6 being heavier would have a greater spring rate.
OEM springs and shocks are vehicle specific and weight class specific.
look at these eibachs for B6 avant http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
The seller also has the springs but there for a quattro but the shocks will be fine
