Did anybody see the race in GP2 at Turkey when a dog ran onto the track and collided with Bruno Senna ?

EDIT: Or when Sebastien Loeb hit a bull when rallying once ?

I remember the article on the news, but obviously it didn't show what happened. Just what you want at dinner time, watching a poor beast explode across a track! A mate of mine was watching it when it happened, he said it just kind of disappeared & bits went everywhere. Nice.

There were at least two hares at Silverstone this weekend that got a little scare.
As for damage to a car caused by running over an animal. I guess it depends on the amount of damage. A number plate is just pathetic but if the damage was into the £100's then I may feel different as it is now illegal I believe for a dog to be loose (not on a lead) on the public highway.
When I was very young the dog we had was knocked over and killed (well put to slepp as his injuries were so bad)by a car but he used to chase the things.
A dog hit me once on the way to work. It ran out and head butted the front wing, me and my girlfriend (Mrs QV now) looked high and low for the dog (an Alsation I think) but he/she must of just carried on chasing the cat or squirrel :p
I know there is a thread about what is on your CD player but I can't be ***** to find it so I have Final Straw - Snow Patrol now and what a superb album. We have also just bought Coldplay's new one but not listened to it yet.
Subject change again :D. I changed the front brake pads (and discs) over the weekend on my Pasty. Now usually when it rains I used to get brake dust stuck all over the rim of my alloys, well now that seems to have stopped completely as they still look clean from the weekend. I bought my pads and brake discs from http://www.brakeparts.co.uk Highly recommend them too.
Oh and good morning VAG enthusiasts!
Morning all. I've just had an exciting morning writing up lots of notes from a meeting yesterday!
I'm gonna sneak out the back for a sneaky cigaroony. I know, foul habit! I've cut down a lot though, soon be time for the final push & give 'em boot. :buttkick:
hey all!
Its wednesday, which means curry day!!
mmmm, roll on lunchtime...
smoking? i remember that....*sigh*.... given up for over 2 years. still have the odd one here and there when i've been drinking :friday:, but i dont want to start again.
I strongly recommend you kerb the odd one. I quit for a few years, didn't smoke at all for at least two then started thinking the odd couple with a beer wouldn't hurt (back when you could smoke in pubs - probably wouldn't have bothered now!) but it's a slippery slope! I regret starting again, you don't even realise you're doing it, it's "I fancy a couple of smokes" so you buy a 10 pack. If there're any left in the morning you have one because you're a bit rough from the night before & your mouth tastes of poop. Then in the afternoon you're feeling a bit better so a smoke'll help soothe what remains of the roughness & then it quickly becomes it's a habit again even though you deny it! I reckon a lot of it is psychological because you associate them with good times & soothing/ feeling better.
As for curry, there's rarely not a good time to have one! :D
Although sometimes I prefer Chinese. Although I prefer Indian and Chinese to Thai, though that's not to say I don't like Thai! Hmmm... variety is the spice of life so they say!
yep, been there and done the slippery slope thing before. i gave up for 9 months, and then 5 months i think. i think i have cracked it this time, the pub ban helps too, as if we are out, i cant get tempted.
..unfortunately, because of the pub ban we tend to have parties round people's houses so they can smoke. on the plus side, it works out cheaper tho £10 for a crate of beer, and you're sorted!
Why does this stupid little rain get me absolutely soaked?
