Re: Hill Hold Assist / DRLs
1) on the A3 its an option for £580 on either sportback or hatchback. To get it at that price its based on an Sline model.
2) you need to ask the dealer for it. Its not even in the brochure. Its about £40 as I had this fitted in my order.
Re: Hill Hold Assist / DRLs
Thanks for the information. I noticed in the brochure that Hill Hold Assist is included in the Parallel Parking Assistance option, but if I can get Hill Hold Assist on it's own that would save me money.
In respect to the Hill Hold Assist option on it's own, I take it that there is no handbrake lever but a handbrake switch instead?

Re: Hill Hold Assist / DRLs
unlike the A4/A5/A6 its different on the A3. When on a hill or gradient...which i swear is temperamental. You apply the brake. This will hold you for about 20 secs before the brake releases and you roll back. Its a good feature for;
-parking on a hill when you don't want to use the handbrake.
-Traffic on a hill.
In a nutshell it prevents roll back. Think on the A4 it works the same way, but its a button and it works better.
I recommend the brake or handbrake at other times. A feature worth getting thats only £45 I think. Certainly worth having as an alternative to tyre pressure monitor.
As mentioned you need to mention this to the salesman when you place your order as it can be ordered on it's own. If they say it can't, tell them to phone me and i'll prove it to them :D
