Strange problem under engine load (1.2 2005)

Hi,

Got a bit of a weird problem with out polo.

Occastionally it stutters at about 2800 rpm under heavy load (ie going up hills). It pauses for less than a second, then continues and is fine.

Now comes the weird bit.

You can go days without it happening, but it's most pronounced when you have gone up or down a hill. Ie never happened when travelling on the flat. Also it appears to happen more when the tank is near empty.

We got Mr AA out, he plugged in computer and it said there were no issues found.

Any ideas? I would assume fuel related? But what on earth can I do about that!

Are the spark plugs old?

No idea. It had it's 3rd service about 6 months and 4000miles ago.

The symptoms are those of a faulty plug or plug cable,and since the engine does not have plug cables,i would check the plugs,check too for any signs of arcking from the coils to the spark plug ceramic
