Advice needed..Indicaters not working 2002 Golf

Hi bit of adivce needed......Just installed a new 6 disc in dash cd player in my 2002 golf(this could just be a coinsidence),everything seemed fine but just noticed the indicaters and hazard warning lights dont work.The indicater lever seems to working fine as when its left in the up or down positions with the ignition off the near or offside parking lights stay on as they are supposed to,checked the fuse and its ok.Any ideas,could it be something simple or is a garage required.

The flasher relay is part of the hazard warning switch in the dash, if you have removed the readio, as the plug come off the switch? If I remember correct, the switch is just above the radio.

Cheers for that info stuart just wipped the cd player out and found the connector block to the back of the hazard warning switch had came off,clipped it back in and everything is A1.Nice one thanks very much:beerchug:
