Cold weather A4 temp warning
Hello,
I have a 1997 A4 2.4 v6, in this cold weather, below -5c when I start the car the temperature warning light comes on. If I try to drive the car the accelerator sticks down and the brakes aren't assisted. The coolant level is correct and the engine obviously is not over heating, any suggestions? When the weather warms up all is fine. I image some fluid is freezing, any ideas?
Many thank, fred
Re: Cold weather A4 temp warning
"temperature warning light" ? wich one is that? how does the symbol lok like? is it a thermometer with a couple of small lines across?
Re: Cold weather A4 temp warning
Yes that is the symbol, any idea how it relates to very cold weather as it's meant to represent coolant temp too high or coolant level too low, which in this case is obviously not the problem.
Re: Cold weather A4 temp warning
sorry i really don't know...
Re: Cold weather A4 temp warning
if its the symbol im thinking of in the auto check system...its coolant level to low/ coolant temp to high according to owners book.
is it coloured red?
